Call To Artists for Pole Banner Design

To coincide with the fall 2022 reopening of the Inasmuch Foundation Crystal Bridge Conservatory, Myriad Gardens is looking for artists to create botanical designs to be displayed on banners around the grounds of the Gardens and to be sold as prints in the new gift shop. The banners will be installed for the foreseeable future and will become iconic images representative of the Gardens.

Each banner concept must depict a single tropical or arid plant that visitors could find at the Myriad Botanical Gardens. A wide range of art styles will be considered – realistic to abstract – but the vertical banners must be no larger than 24-by-48 inches. A list of appropriate quotations that may be used as design elements is included below, although quotes are not required.

To be considered please, complete the online application, including a share file link of samples that are representative of your work and an idea of what you might create for the Gardens. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Selected finalists will receive additional guidance regarding the project. Each chosen artist will receive compensation of $250 to $500.
