The average American throws out approximately 1200 pounds of organic, compostable garbage each year. Vegetable scraps, paper, grass clippings, coffee grounds, and more; a huge chunk of our daily waste could be used to work for us and our gardens. Come get the ‘dirt’ on all things composting: what is compostable, indoor vs outdoor, small scale vs large scale, the mechanisms, science, and more. Learn what compost does for us and how composting can help our earth. Whether it’s a small kitchen compost bin or a large pile out in your yard, no effort is too small.
