Oklahoma City, OK – Pumpkinville, one of Myriad Botanical Gardens’ most beloved annual festivals, returns from October 4-20, transforming the gardens into a magical world of Mythical Creatures. Presented by OG&E with sponsor support from Devon Energy, Delta Dental, Bank of Oklahoma, MetroFamily, Midtown Renaissance, Tinker Federal Credit Union, IPGI, and Midtown Vets, Pumpkinville is a cherished fall tradition for thousands of families.
Visitors will delight in creative displays made from over 30,000 pumpkins, gourds, haystacks, and mums. The festival offers games, pumpkin painting, photo ops with pumpkin murals, shopping from local vendors, educational programs, free daily crafts, face painting, special treats, and unlimited rides on Mo’s Carousel with admission.
This year’s theme, Mythical Creatures, brings to life a fantastical world populated by giants, ogres, and trolls, with Bigfoot and the elusive Yeti roaming the forests. Gnomes, fairies, pixies, and sprites add a touch of magic, while unicorns, goblins, and dragons embody the essence of fantasy. The skies feature Pegasus and the reborn Phoenix, and visitors’ imaginations will be stirred by gargoyles, the Loch Ness Monster, and the Kraken. Mermaids beckon from the sea, completing this enchanting world.
Admission is $9 per person, free for ages 2 and under, and free for Myriad Garden members. Members also receive early access to an exclusive preview event on Thursday, October 3. Member levels and information can be found at www.myriadgardens.org/membership. This year, Friends & Family Memberships have been added with exclusive benefits for both Myriad Gardens and Scissortail Park. For inquiries, contact member@myriadgardens.org.
New this year, Pumpkinville has extended hours on Fridays and Saturdays. This season guests can enjoy Pumpkinville Sundays to Thursdays from 10am-5pm, and Fridays and Saturdays from 10am-6:30pm. The festival will be closed on Mondays, October 7 and 14.
Pumpkinville is a fundraiser for the Myriad Gardens Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that collaborates with corporate and community groups to enhance the educational, aesthetic, cultural, and economic development of Oklahoma City.
