Crystal Orchid Awards 2026

Our annual Orchids in October Awards Luncheon is being reimagined for 2026! This cherished event has been revised to coincide with the Myriad Gardens’ Orchid Show, Love Takes Root: An Orchid Engagement, running January 16 – March 1, 2026.

Please mark your calendar for Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 11:30 a.m., when we will gather to celebrate the extraordinary individual and dear friend of the Gardens, Mr. James R. “Jim” Tolbert III.

The Orchids in October Awards began in 2002, and fittingly, the inaugural recipient was Jim Tolbert himself. As we usher in this new era of the event, we find it only right that Jim once again be recognized as the inaugural honoree of the reimagined Award Ceremony.

To many, Jim is known as the “Godfather of the Myriad Gardens.” Since the early 1960s, his vision, leadership, and unwavering commitment have helped shape the Gardens into the vibrant cultural and horticultural experience it is today.
