What types of programs do you offer?

School Programs feature an interactive lesson, guided conservatory tour and a scavenger hunt. The program runs from 10:00am to noon and is offered on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Designed for grades K-6, our school programs supplement achievement towards the Oklahoma Academic Standards. Through the implementation of research-based methods and models, we strive to provide the most enriching experience possible. We can accommodate group sizes of 10 to 90 students.

Taste The Rain Forest—An Exploration Of Tropical Rainforests Through The Lens Of Healthy Eating:

This school program is designed for Kindergarten through 2nd graders and is intended to empower students to discover more about the natural world by accomplishing the following learning objectives. Students will identify six parts of a plant, investigate plants we eat that grow in rainforests, and explore healthy eating by brainstorming a breakfast meal during a conservatory hike.

Kaleidoscope Ecosystems - Exploring the Desert and the Rainforest:

This school program is designed for 3rd through 6th graders and is intended to empower students to discover more about the natural world by accomplishing the following learning objectives. Students will explore desert and rainforest ecosystems, recognize plants in the desert and rainforest that humans use as resources, and examine the impact of rainforest deforestation on the environment.

Guided Tours offers your group the opportunity to explore the Conservatory with a knowledgeable guide. Tours last 30 minutes to an hour. We offer guided tours on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. A guided tour is a great choice for middle school and high school students however it can be booked for any grade  level. We can accommodate group sizes of 10 to 60 students.

Self-Guided Tour offers your group the opportunity to explore the conservatory at your own pace and time; you will not have a guide. You must book in advance and have a group of 10 or more to receive the group rate admission.

  • Add scavenger hunt booklets to either tour. Scavenger hunt booklets are perfect for grades Pre k–2nd.

What is the cost of a school program or tour of 10 or more students?

  • School programs group rate: $7 + tax per student
    • For every 10 kids in your group, 2 accompanying adults are free. Additional adults are $9.50 + tax per person.
  • Guided tour group rate: $6 + tax per student
    • For every 10 kids in your group, 2 accompanying adults are free. Additional adults are $9.50 + tax per person.
  • Self-guided tour group rate: $4.00 + tax per student (age 4-17), $9.50 + tax per adult 
  • Scavenger hunt booklets: $0.50 + tax per booklet
 

Where can our group eat lunch?

You are welcome to have lunch at our pavilion space near the Children’s Garden. Food and drink are allowed anywhere on our outdoor grounds. Pick a shady spot and enjoy your meal! Make sure not to leave any waste behind. Please note:  food and drink are not allowed inside the Crystal Bridge Conservatory.

A parking map and instructions are included in a confirmation email you will receive after booking your visit.

How do I book a school program, guided tour, or self-guided tour for my group?

  • Fill out and submit a Group Visit Request Form at least 2 weeks before the date you would like to book. We cannot guarantee there will be an opening on your preferred date. Adding optional dates on your request form will expedite the booking processes.
  • Education staff will respond to your request with-in 3 business days to confirm a date and price.
  • Payment can be made by card ahead of time or with cash or check before you begin your program. Purchase orders accepted. Payment must be made in one sum transaction to cover the entire amount of the field trip. If paying in cash the group leader should collect individual contributions ahead of time in order to pay all together in one transaction.
