Myriad Botanical Gardens presents the first art exhibit dedicated to Oklahoma pollinators, featuring works by 17 Oklahoma artists. “Wings & Wildflowers: A Celebration of Native Pollinators” is now open and runs through August 8 at the Crystal Bridge Art Gallery at the Myriad Botanical Gardens. The exhibit extends outdoors, with banners showcasing the artwork around Myriad Botanical Gardens and Scissortail Park. The outdoor exhibit will run through November 1.
Each piece in the exhibit highlights Oklahoma’s native pollinators, with each artist creating one piece depicting a pollinator and another portraying the flowers they pollinate. The exhibit aims to emphasize the crucial role of pollinator populations and raise awareness about their decline due to habitat loss, pesticide use, and introduced diseases.

Dancing in the Gardens on Friday, June 16, brought the MTV Hits theme to life! Everyone danced to the beat of hit pop music from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s with DJ Brian Smith from MuttRadio.com. RACE Dance Collective’s instructors taught the crowd how to move to Beyonce’s Single Ladies and Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance. The night was filled with non-stop dancing as friends and families boogied their hearts out. It was truly a night to remember! Plus, did we mention that it’s free? And, to make things even better, there was face painting by LOL Cartoons, and food trucks too.
