A Dream Waiting to Unfold: Portraits of Oklahoma by MJ Alexander

A Dream Waiting to Unfold celebrates the youngest and oldest residents of the 46th state. The exhibit offers a glimpse of the secrets and dreams of the state and its people, encouraging visitor to pause and reflect on our shared history as Oklahomans.
M.J. Alexander works at the intersection of the lyrical arts, reportage, poetry and imagery to explore the stories of the people and places of the Great Plains. Her work has been published by The New York Times and by Time magazine, featured in more than two dozen solo exhibitions here and abroad, and installed as public art in more than a dozen parks and public spaces. She is a 2019 inductee into the Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame and winner of an Oklahoma Book Award. The International Photography Hall of Fame describes her as “combining the vision of an artist with the skills of a storyteller.
The exhibit is located in the Crystal Bridge Conservatory art gallery within the Visitors Lobby. Free to view during visiting hours Monday through Saturday, 9am-5pm and Sunday, 11am-5pm.
