See the new art exhibit at the Crystal Bridge Art Gallery: Still Life With Guitar by Micheal Jones open through May 10.

Since the age of 12, Micheal has been an artist. He has studied, practiced, painted, and created relentlessly from the moment he decided to pursue that life.

To quote an old classmate, “I always remember that you were the guy who spent all your extra time in the library studying the Renaissance while the rest of us were doing regular things.”

That sums Micheal’s life up in a nutshell.

By the age of 16, Micheal had sold his first work in regional museums and galleries. Within a few years, he was hanging one-man shows in every available venue, from banks to museums to community buildings, while building an ever-growing base of patrons. Micheal quickly earned his Master’s Degree in art and later studied with notable figures of contemporary watercolor.

He has exhibited in well-known juried national shows from Los Angeles to New York and has a set of mezzotints in the State Museum of Yekaterinburg, Russia.

Throughout his life, Micheal has worked steadily, teaching, creating, and exhibiting his unique style of painting and printmaking with no sign of slowing down.

The exhibit is free to view during regular hours: open daily 9am-5pm and Sunday, 11am-5pm. Works of art are for sale.
