Orchids in October luncheon set to honor OG&E

Thursday, October 19, beginning at 11:30 a.m. on the Seasonal Plaza

OG&E has been selected as the recipient of the prestigious 2023 James R. Tolbert III Crystal Orchard Award. They will be honored during the Orchids in October ceremony and luncheon at the Gardens, taking place on Thursday, October 19. OG&E has shown unwavering support for the Gardens’ holiday light displays, bringing joy and creating unforgettable memories for visitors during the festive season.

Additionally, when the Gardens sought to establish a fall family event, OG&E generously funded the inaugural Pumpkinville in 2012, which has since become our largest and most beloved event, attracting thousands of individuals and families who delight in celebrating the autumn season.

Located on the Seasonal Plaza, registration begins at 11:30 a.m., program starts at noon. For sponsorships and tickets visit here.

In 2014, OG&E made a significant contribution that facilitated the start of early design planning for the renovation of the Crystal Bridge Conservatory—an enduring testament to their commitment to the Gardens’ ongoing enhancement.

Furthermore, in 2019, OG&E opened “Together Square” as a new downtown green space.  Thanks to making this space available for public use, the nonprofit Fields and Future was able to build a basketball and futsal court that is free for the public to use.  Together Square is also heavily used by John Rex School, providing a wonderful green space steps from this downtown school.

We invite you to join us in acknowledging OG&E’s remarkable contributions by sponsoring the Orchids in October event. Your sponsorship plays a crucial role in preserving the beauty of the Gardens and allowing us to continue hosting high-quality public events for the enjoyment of all.
