Paint a delightful cluster of Fall pumpkins with Brooke Hutchens of Redbud Pigment Co. as she guides us through a botanically-inspired watercolor piece using handmade pigments that are locally foraged and sustainably sourced.

Relax as you embark on an autumnal adventure with hoop embroidering featuring pumpkins. Guests will be able to choose from a variety of background fabrics and thread colors for a beginner-friendly project that will feature multiple stitches to learn. Discover the ins and outs of planting bulbs for stunning color shows all year long. Learn about what bulbs are planted when and for what flowering time, perennial bulbs vs. annual bulbs, tricks and strategies for success, and more. Guests will leave with a small batch of tulip bulbs to jump-start their planting season.

Join us as we learn everything you need to know to have a successful seed harvest from your garden, and take a walk through our grounds to harvest seeds from your local botanical garden! Guests will learn about seed collection and how to properly store them for future seasons.

Join renowned artist Jim Weaver as he teaches the basics of leather tooling, followed by how to transfer your design to paper utilizing relief printmaking techniques. Guests will be guided throughout his process before creating their artwork. Guests will leave with two pieces of tooled leather (a flower and a freeform design) and 4-5 prints made from their leatherwork.

Join us as we discuss techniques and tips for selecting, prepping, and pressing florals before we settle in to create pressed floral art within a floating glass frame. Guests will leave with a small flower press of their own as well as a piece of art brought to life from their hands and imagination.

November is the time to prepare your garden for the colder winter months so it looks its best and returns in the spring in the best shape possible. We will talk through what we do in the garden at this time and will discuss what is and isn’t getting cut back. We will also discuss adding mulch for cold protection, removing and composting annuals, and other best practices.
